NFPA Structural Collapse Rescue Level I / BGSU CRT Series

NFPA 1006,1670 Structural Collapse Rescue Level I:  This four day course exceeds NFPA and FEMA requirements.  Primary Objectives:  Building construction and collapse types and characteristics, Shoring Operations to include class I/II/III shores, Mechanical Shoring Systems with heavy emphasis on Paratech Rescue Systems, Breaching/Breaking/Burning, Scenario applications.  Students will be exposed to static environments as well as an acquired structure in a collapsed and dynamic state.  Breaching/Breaking/Burning will provide a wide array of tool systems and applications.

Daily Times: 08:00 - 18:00

NFPA 1006,1670 Trench Rescue Level I.  This four day course exceeds NFPA requirements.  Primary Objectives: Trench characteristics, Hazard Management, Soil Assessment, Atmospheric Assessment, OSHA and NFPA requirements, Shielding, Shoring, Victim Packaging, Victim Removal, Straight Wall Trenches 8' deep,  Inside Wales, Outside Wales, Trench Bags, Lifting and Stabilizing loads, Scenario Applications.  Students will be exposed to static and dynamic trench settings and will utilize various shoring systems with a heavy focus on Paratech Rescue Systems.

NFPA 1006,1670 Vehicle and Machinery Rescue Level I:  This four day course exceeds NFPA requirements.  Primary Objectives: Vehicle and Machinery Anatomy and hazards, Alternative Fuels and operating systems, Hazard Management, Stabilization, Lifting, Extrication, Dismantling, Tool Systems, Tactics, Scenario Applications.  Students will be exposed to alternative fuel vehicles and fill stations as well as passenger vehicles of all types and numerous manufacturer's tool systems.  Extrication sequences are performed at clearing lot with unlimited vehicles staged in inverted, lateral, and upright positions,  Final sequences include timed competitions as well as interstate pile up scenarios.
